PTO

The Harrisville Central School District PTO is a non-profit parent teacher organization whose membership includes all parents, legal guardians and HCS staff. The PTO board is made up of volunteer parents who are voted into their positions by their peers.

Mission Statement

Our sole purpose is to strengthen, enhance and encourage the educational and social environment of our Harrisville Central School students by:

• Working together as a team to provide a positive learning environment for our students.
• Supporting family and student social interaction by planning family friendly events.
• Raising funds to purchase items directly for our school and/or classrooms that enhance the students learning experiences.
• Giving opportunities for us to come together as a community to help support other groups in need.

Fundraising

The Harrisville Central PTO fundraises because the bulk of what it does requires funding. In order to support students and teachers at HCS, fundraising is a MUST. With that said, we work on several different events and activities throughout the school year. It is very important to us that our students love coming to school and we have found that they look forward to these things.

Volunteer for the HCS PTO

The best way to get connected is by volunteering. There are a variety of opportunities that fit all skill sets and schedules. Volunteering not only benefits the PTO and the school, but it benefits you too! It provides you with a chance to directly impact our students experience here at HCS. You can volunteer as much or as little as you prefer. Come to a meeting to see what the PTO is all about! We are always looking for new members and new ideas.
